I have been teaching yoga for 21 years.
21 years ago I was 21 years old! YES I WAS! I started teaching yoga to a few of my University student friends in a small space in 1996. I was scared and excited! One class turned into two classes. I changed locations. More people gathered. I started putting up posters! Years passed. I made an audio tape! SOLD them. People continued to come. And I continued to teach. I changed locations again! I started teaching morning monthlong series. I loved teaching! I began teaching pre and post natal yoga classes when I was pregnant with my first daughter! Two years after that I embarked on another yoga teacher training. People continued to find me and I continued to love teaching! And then one day (recently) I look up and do the math and realize that decades have gone by!
I have been truly blessed to have shared all these years laughing and crying and moving and growing and loving so many people. I have been utterly transformed by all the yoga in my life. It has sustained me!
I have had the privilege of getting to know so many people over the years. Some have stayed with me for almost as long as I have been teaching! I am truly blessed to share life joys and sorrows with you. And I would like to thank you for being my student!
Please join me for a free yoga class. Followed by raw treats and tea!!! All are welcome. All ages! Children and babies are welcome! Even though I know it’s bedtime for some!
Monday February 13, 7pm, Knox Church, back entrance
