This is me. I took this selfie last fall while getting ready to teach yoga. I feel it shows how happy I am about what I do. I adore teaching yoga.
I feel extremely blessed to have been teaching yoga in Guelph for the past 25 years!!! I am known for being a playful and quirky yoga teacher. I started going to yoga classes with my mom when I was 13. Picture me (at 13) in a basement, in a small town, doing yoga with a bunch of sweet 40 year old ladies. I actually LOVED it. And now I’m that 46 year old lady! When I was 21 (in 1995) I trained and completed my first yoga teacher training at the Kripalu Centre in Lenox Massachusetts. Over the years I have studied and been inspired by many teachers and students alike. In 2007 I completed (a second) two year yoga teacher training with Hart Lazer. I am super grateful for the all the wisdom, knowledge, and compassion my teachers have shared with me over the years, and I hope to be able to share some of that with you.
What else might you like to know about me?
I did an English degree at the University of Guelph and never left this town! I love novels! (I started writing one before I had children). I am a mother of two beautiful and feisty teenage daughters (pictured below). I have been solo parenting them for the last 12 years. I absolutely love flowers. I love the sun and I adore swimming. I think I could be a fish! I also LOVE people. Just ask around! I do LOVE people!
And I would love to meet you in yoga sometime.
My classes are playful, invigorating, and heart centered.
What I hope most of all is that through yoga we can come to be love. That we can learn to love ourselves more deeply and through that love one another more truly.
“With Chantalle, yoga is love. Love, for me, means allowing. Yoga with Chantalle is one of the best places in town to allow love and compassion to find you through greater awareness of the breath and the body. As with everything, the more you give, the more you receive. Chantalle is a blessing to the community.”
