It’s September

The air is shifting.  I am all wrapped up in a blanket.  The cats curled up beside me.  Ezra asleep upstairs.  I am going to roll my yoga mat out soon.  I have committed to roll it out every day this month.  And that’s hard for me.  Yep even for me!  But before I roll my yoga mat out and begin to move I wanted to shout out to you.  It’s 5am on a Friday morning… so you are all probably still sleeping.. but I wanted to say…

MY YOGA CLASSES ARE STARTING AGAIN SOON.  Come and play with me.

I would love to move with you.  In a group.  In private.  Whatever works for you.  The morning?  I’ve got a morning series coming up.  The evening?  I would love to spend Monday evenings with you.

If you have questions.  Please let me know!

summer holy days

I am taking July and August off of teaching yoga.

This break is a huge gift I offer myself, a gift I give my family, and ultimately a gift I offer my students.  This time to refresh and slow done is so important for me.  I am very blessed to be able to take this time to play with my children, my partner, and to spend time all by myself.  I am taking the summer to pick raspberries and garden, to watch the sun rise.  I am taking the summer to sleep in and read novels.  I am taking the summer to swim with my children… and to do some Nothing too.

I look forward to seeing you in September!!!!

come celebrate with me

I have been teaching yoga for 21 years.

21 years ago I was 21 years old!   YES I WAS!   I started teaching yoga to a few of my University student friends in a small space in 1996.  I was scared and excited!  One class turned into two classes.  I changed locations.  More people gathered.  I started putting up posters!  Years passed.  I made an audio tape!  SOLD them.  People continued to come.  And I continued to teach.  I changed locations again!  I started teaching morning monthlong series.  I loved teaching!  I began teaching pre and post natal yoga classes when I was pregnant with my first daughter!  Two years after that I embarked on another yoga teacher training.  People continued to find me and I continued to love teaching!  And then one day (recently) I look up and do the math and realize that decades have gone by!

I have been truly blessed to have shared all these years laughing and crying and moving and growing and loving so many people.  I have been utterly transformed by all the yoga in my life.  It has sustained me!

I have had the privilege of getting to know so many people over the years.  Some have stayed with me for almost as long as I have been teaching!  I am truly blessed to share life joys and sorrows with you.  And I would like to thank you for being my student!

Please join me for a free yoga class.  Followed by raw treats and tea!!!  All are welcome.  All ages!  Children and babies are welcome!  Even though I know it’s bedtime for some!

Monday February 13,    7pm,      Knox Church, back entrance

Let me know if you have any questions.
